Sainte-Maxime is a small town in southern France, located in the Provence-Côte d'Azur region and specifically in the Var department; it occupies a rather discreet surface that is around eighty square kilometers, populated by over ten thousand inhabitants so as to obtain a density of about one hundred and fifty inhabitants per square kilometer. The area in which Sainte? Maxime is located is a territory rich in streams where the air is impregnated with the smell of the sea and the climate is mild in all seasons; the Var department, named after the river of the same name that flows here, is crossed by countless other rivers such as the Meironne and the Cauron which, to the delight of the fishermen who inhabit these places, are rich in fish, trout species.
